Quark Expeditions

The expedition was an absolute dream from start to finish and excellently supported by Solan, on Quark's behalf, and the crew, Dion, Jeanette and Yoann of the Hans Hannson. The use of this small ship meant we were able to get ashore quicker and able to enjoy more time ashore, sometimes with organised walks, but just as frequently each of us was able to do our own thing. Jeanette's cooking (and, as it turned out her photography) was of the finest quality, being matched by Dion's seamanship, both being ably aided by Yoann. I hope I get the chance to visit Antarctica again with this super crew.

I am a well traveled individual, having had the great privilege of traveling to nearly 100 countries around the world, seeing and experiencing some of the most beautiful places on earth. But Antarctica blew me away! I was in awe from the moment we landed on King George Island - and I was gape mouthed till we landed in Ushuaia. The raw, pristine beauty, the immediacy of the continent's wildlife, the serenity of the vast spaces...my memories of this trip will linger for the rest of my life.

Amazing trip! Signed up for kayaking on an 8-day tour. Thought we'd go out once or twice. Ended up going twice almost every day!! Proximity to wildlife was amazing. You couldn't take a bad photo. Staff kept us informed, entertained, and extremely well-fed throughout. Never a dull moment. Great navigation to avoid stormy weather wherever possible. Highly recommend!
