Treasured Experiences with Animals
Almost everything about the trip was spectacular. The ship itself was spacious. The itinerary of Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica and all their parts were so interesting. We were full of anticipation when nearly landing on South Orkney Islands. Boots supplied were surprisingly very comfortable in stocking feet. Jackets were warm and skillfully, thoughtfully designed. Meals were creative, plentiful and delicious. Dining room service was friendly, helpful and classy. Our room stewardess was lovely and well chosen. Then, there’ was the expedition staff, all warm, engaging and watchful with sensitivity to people’s needs. The program offered was extremely organized and efficient, and would only be that way by careful review and teamwork input. It was good that support staff sat for meals with passengers and were engaging, and in general, the staff appeared cohesive and happy together, with the main focus of an informative cruise being their foremost objective. Even Solan’s (expedition leader) announcements were briefly stated with wise anticipation of what passengers needed to know. Crews who helped us get in and out of the zodiacs and those who assisted with wet landings were incredible, knew how to offer help safely, were supportive and enthusiastic; bravo to all of them! It was a marvelous, fulfilling cruise, and the wildlife we were able to experience up close and among us was a dream fulfilled, with the excellent educational lectures timed with information to round out our rich adventures. I send the crew mental thanks again and again! Expect rugged day trip experiences and have 1-2 business casual dress for nice dinnertimes.
