Quark Expeditions

Almost flawless. The ship and expedition staff were great. The only hiccup was the ship coming in to port late. The "alternative arrangement" made by Quark was nice but not great - it did not allow for flexibility. But the expedition itself was wonderful.

Write a review? Easy, right? Well, it's not easy. Words cannot begin to describe how awesome and fulfilling that our expedition turned out to be. The scenery is indescribable - glaciers calving, icebergs in all directions. The staff was of varied backgrounds - PhD's, former teachers, paramedics, wilderness guides, environmental engineers, and their lectures were knowledgeable; but, more importantly, they were passionate about their areas of expertise and enthusiastic about sharing that with the passengers. The pristine environment inhabited by penguins, seals, whales, etc., is unforgettable. Every effort was made to maximize our experience. Quark's Antarctica expedition is, by far, the best trip we have ever taken. But, again, the words pale when compared to the actual experience.

After losing a day to the weather we more than made up for it from our first expedition. Allie and her crew were awesome from start to finish planning out our trips. being available for questions and education and always had a great demeanor. The sites we were able to experience will stay with me and my family for the rest of our lives. We have traveled quite a bit and seem many cool things but the 3 action packed days we experienced with Quark top the list by far. I would highly recommend this trip and while losing a day by taking a chance to fly the Drake is a risk we saved 4 days and a bunch of sea sickness so would suggest going this route. The food on the ship was better than expected and the whole crew from restaurant to front desk to cabin stewards and of course the expedition team were all first class. TAKE THIS TRIP !!!!!!!!!

Despite "losing" a day to inclement weather at King George Island, the expedition staff went to great lengths to make it up to us, and we came away with a trip of a lifetime. The Ocean Adventurer's crew and catering staff was top-notch. Quark's staff was very helpful from the first booking contact until the expedition was over. I highly recommend Quark in general, and this trip in particular, to anyone looking to truly experience the Antarctica peninsula.
