Quark Expeditions

This was the trip of a lifetime. We saw polar bears, arctic foxes, walruses, reindeer, birds with expert guidance from a fantastic group of expedition guides. Highly recommended!

Very exciting not knowing what animal would be spotted from the ship and announced over the P.A. It was not just the wildlife but the fabulous snow-covered mountains just took my breath away!

The service , food, and ship quality were wonderful. The ship staff could not do enough for us to make every thing special. All of the tour guides were extremely accomplished in their fields and shared their knowledge of the arctic flora, fauna and bird life in an easy to understand and often humorous way. Our polar bear, walrus, fox, Beluga whale and bird sightings were perfectly organized to provide the maximum zodiac and land sighting experiences and the ships captain and crew sailed the Nova into fiords and cruised the shoreline for hours when a bear was sighted so we could also observe from onboard when landings were not possible. It was nice to sail with a small group of like minded passengers. Daisy our cabin steward is a rare gem and the personification of what excellent service is all about. If you can take this trip, do it with Quark you will be delighted.

My goal was to see polar bears and I saw 7 of them including a mother with 2 cubs. The kayaking with beluga whales was an added bonus. The staff / boat crew were beyond great, food wonderful, fellow clients in exuberant mood. Overall a journey of a life time!

After the Antarctic and Spitsbergen, I thought that I wouldn't see another Quark adventure. Fortunately, they came up with this trip. It did not disappoint. The adventures, sights, wildlife, staff, and food were all up to normal Quark standards. There were a lot of people that missed out on this trip. Bravo on a job well done by the whole staff.
