This was a five-star itinerary visiting some of the most remote British overseas territories which hold an amazing range of biodiversity. The expedition staff not only gave superb talks on ornithology, geology, marine biology and history, they also were out on deck looking for birds, dolphins and whales to show us.
Although this was an expedition ship using zodiacs to access remote beaches, the ship itself was like a five-star hotel in the quality of food, service, accommodation and its well-stocked library.
From Antarctica to North of the equator we had some fabulous wildlife experiences in historic places travelling at not much more than the speed of the heroic polar explorers's ships at the beginning of the last century.
