This was the 2nd box of books my toddler received. We kept everything from the 1st box, but the 2nd assortment of books wasn’t as great. The reason behind my 3-star-review is one of the titles that was included. The book talked about diversity, equity etc. my child simply needs to be a child, and enjoy this stage of her life. I see books with social/political agenda as something not only unnecessary, but simply inappropriate for a 2 year old.

The selection has been ok. Order and service have been great.

Our first two boxes were fantastic, but the second two have not contained a single book I want to purchase. One book was a workbook, which I find super disappointing considering I subscribed for literature, and don’t find math worksheets appropriate for a preschooler. Another was a glorified coloring book, so my kid can’t even test it out before returning since it would obviously be used then! Lastly, a couple books haven’t had overall messaging I approve of (one book was all about cheering up a dragon so he wouldn’t be sad, I don’t want my child to learn to shove down feelings; another was all about flamingos eating certain foods and avoiding others without really exploring any meaning behind it, and I want my child to know food is food and not develop an unhealthy relationship with food). Overall I will be unsubscribing so I can save the $10 and hunt for books that align with our morals. Ps on the plus side, my daughter LOVES seeing the teal box on the front porch and opening it up! :)

She was not too impressed with the April box. She read 2 books (hatmakers and the case one) but didn't bother with the other 3.
