Disappointed

Sadly, I’m disappointed with the wheelset (aero 40mm) and service I received from ICAN. Delivery was fast, however the rear wheel has a slight wobble. I would have been willing to pay out of pocket for the truing, but quickly learned the wheels are far and away the most difficult to mount and remove of any I've seen in my 15 years of cycling (I tried 4 different brand tires and 2 different sizes). On average it would take me 20 minutes or more to finally get them mounted, and another 20 minutes to remove them. I didn't want to have to deal with that while out on the road. In addition, I popped 4 or 5 tubes trying to convince myself I would eventually get the hang of it, but I never did. Another thing that would happen is despite pumping them up to 110-115 pounds, they sometimes wouldn't seat all the way around the bead, so I'd have to start over. The wheels look fine - - seem to be well made and are as light as advertised. Given the fairly high ratings these wheels have, I can't help but think there was something wrong with the set I received. Lastly, I contacted ICAN regarding the return and didn't receive a response, so I contacted them again and got an automated reply saying they would contact me the next day, which they didn't. At this point I just want to ship them back and get my refund.

not impressed,

I'm giving it 2 stars since the wheels ended up being below my expectations. out of the box the front wheel was not very true and had to be adjusted to not rub on the rim brake pads. I put on them about 400 miles by now and just few days ago, one of the spokes in the rear wheel became loose and threw the wheel out of alignment. Both wheels had to go back to the shop to be trued. I guess you get what you pay for.
