Eeally serious points to
I own also a Roam v1 and see that the new Roam 2 is better especially for the 2 the gps sensors. For the rest it is not really improved. I would say feature updates must improve this new model and bring new functions otherwise it is not worth the price and is it better to buy a Roam 1.
My findings during my 20+ cycle and gravel rides:
- The chevrons are smaller, not oke! It is just a bit but a bigger chevron is better as in Roam 1. I’m 50+ years old so getting a bit near sided. ( Reading glases) and does not make me happier with this issue.
- Also the blue D-tour chevrons are to small, same as the black ones. In the Netherlands we have very much cycle paths ans lanes. Blue D-tour chevrons disappear and are barely to see in case of a D-tour via cycle paths. Change the blue chevron color or the cycle path color.
- The map scale indication was already bad to read on Roam 1, on Roam 2 it is impossible to read. Make the font size of the map scale bigger!
- Due to better display I would advise to add a 150 mtr scale. This would be optimal and better to read the maps.
- The loaded tour is on the map in a licht gray color. Barely to see. Make it a different color so it is more visiable.
