Screws not included with replacement latches

I ordered new rubber latches for my cooler and new screws were not included. Aside from having a well used, but broken latch, I was also missing a screw for the latch. Now I am happy to have my new latches but still am missing what I'm sure is a hard to find screw. I cannot find screws on the website to buy and the shipping cost, which I was happy to pay for new latches would be well over the cost of the tiny stainless steel screw.

Works well so far as a dry-box

It’s october here in Vermont, so, sunlight and warm days are a far cry away.... However, as a landscaper-arborist, it’s my job site organizer. From extra layers, food, water, batteries, you name it. It’s been beat around it’s first few days in the bed of a truck. So far, it’s great. I feel the latches could use some better engineering. The back, plastic latch seems flimsy, and when I open the lid, it seems like it’s gonna break off. Interesting they used a stainless latch in the front and a plastic hinge on the back. I’d pay for an upgrade. Did it on my Marine Igloo and they’ve lasted through two decades of saltwater abuse.

Latches for 13 quart cooler

I purchased the latches and was surprised that screws did not come with it. Seems minor but another trip to the hardware store since my screws were rusted along with the latch, which was surprising since it is less than a year old. However, your email response and a few questions I asked were outstanding. very responsive. Thank you. Mike

I think it is over priced for what it is. It feels like it is hollowed plastic without foam. Walmart $19 cooler. I am very sad, I wanted to be happy with this purchase.

Energy efficient but Noisey

I appreciate that I can run this freezer off of my solar panels and it hardly draws any electricity, even in freezer mode. I also appreciate Engel's patient customer service. Sleek design and proper packing for shipping, and minimal plastic packaging. However I wish I would have known it was so noisey. The freezer kicks on every 5 minutes or less and runs for several minutes and it's very loud. It's currently in an attached shed and out of my main living space... even if I were to put it outside (don't want to, don't want to expose it to the elements) the sound would still disturb the living/sleeping space. For me, it would only be suitable in an outbuilding *far* away... I've never encountered a fridge so noisey. I already have a freezer far away, at a friend's house, with a huge chest freezer purchased at a garage sale for $65 and it's way quieter than the Engel. So now I don't know what to do. I seemed to have purchased a solution to one problem (having better food storage at home) and a big puzzle for another (what to do with noisey freezer that will be difficult to re-sell because of its price...). I can't imagine keeping this in a van I was also living in. the sound and vibration would be terrible to be any closer to.
