It was finally time for a new helmet after 5+ years of service out of my old one. When I started to look for a new helmet online, I started to dig into the different size charts and fit profiles, which brought me to this site. Lidpicker helped me find a great helmet that ended up being two sizes smaller than my long time helmet (which had been rather quickly "fit" in person at at a shop). The detailed fit information for many brands and types of helmets helped me focus on a few brands and styles that were close to my head shape. I started out one size down based on my measurements, but ended up doing a relatively simple exchange for a smaller helmet after trying the fit tests -- I have a feeling I could have measured better initially. It's almost ridiculous how loose my old helmet fits by comparison and how much better the new one fits and feels!
