Great for my spouse...Pretty good for me.

Is the report worth it? YEAH! Especially if you've spent LOTS of money on helmets, as my wife and I have, only to give them away or throw them in the trash or bonfire out frustration. Lid picker helped nail my wife with a good helmet straight away; a Bell Qualifier i size "L". I was a little tougher. I've probably tried on hundreds of helmets, and thought I'd be thrown of a few brick & mortar shops for being an annoyance. My report came back with only about 3 choices for a great fit. I ordered one, the Icon Airmada, and while the crown took awhile to break in, it did fit! The report doesn't help with cheek pad sizing though.. They're always too tight!;)

Now I know

This is genius. The list of helmets is yuuuge. So big that you could spend a year trying on helmets just to find the best features. Because you'll already know the best helmets.

Worth every penny despite taking longer than expected.

Finally got around to putting the Lidpicker results to a test. Got the results months ago and pulled together a list of helmets to try with three categories: best (ideal fit), better (one measurement in range but not ideal) and good (two measurements in range but not ideal). Ones without the features I wanted were completely excluded from the list from the start or winnowed out early. Next I studied reviews and pared the list down to eight choices. Why so much effort? Two of the three helmets in the best category were HJC. I've tried that brand before and could not stand the helmets for more than a few seconds. I was skeptical. Yesterday I got the chance to test the list I've been carrying in my phone for months. HJC first. Amazing (at least to me) how comfortably the two recommended models fit. Perfect. Next came two helmets from the better section. One fit the top of my head extremely well but the chinbar was touching my chin. With top top fitting so well there was little I could do to position the helmet -- though the chinbar is NOT part of lidpicker's process. Last I tried the helmet I've wanted from the start. I deliberately tried it last. I also knew it would fit because lidpicker's results scored it the same as the helmet I'm replacing -- the most comfortable I've owned over the last 20 years. It's the one I bought due to features. The HJC fit was marginally better -- just as lidpicker said -- except for the cheek pads, another item excluded from lidpicker's process. Overall assessment: Wish lidpicker had been available decades ago. It enabled me to narrow the seemingly infinite array of choices down to a select few so I could easily make the right decision. With it I could have avoided the ten-years of Arai-induced headaches that I endured on long rides. Lidpicker was worth every penny!

Worked fo me!

I just wanted to write to let you know how incredibly satisfied I am with your product the the entire experience. I have a slightly odd shaped head, and a pretty big one at that. I have never been willing to buy a helmet online because there was just so incredibly little data on how it would fit, and living in a second tier city means there isn't a lot of variety in the physical stores. I am a data scientist and so seeing the email from motorcyclegear.com that explained how you guys took a very straightforward data analysis approach to seeing what types and shapes of helmets would actually fit made me instantly want to try it. The report you sent back helped me overcome the trepidation of ordering a helmet online. It is not one I was considering otherwise, and yet it fits perfectly and I could not be happier. I will definitely spread your virtues to any and every other rider I encounter. Thanks much for making such a great and innovative product.
