It's a good service.

So far, after a year, I have been pleased. I only wish there was more agression in getting even lower interest rates to pay down the principal more quickly. I think they are still much higher than they should be for this type of program. Possibly be renogotiated after each year.

For the most part everything went smoothly with Family Credit Management. I did not like the fact that when I was ready to pay off all of my debit, that I had to call each creditor to find out the pay off balance. Also the on-line service i.e. see who the creditors were, there was not contact information for the creditors or balances. I had to call each one and wait on hold to find this information out. It's pointless to have an on-line option of it doesn't give any pertinent information. When I called to make my final payment which was actually 2 years earlier than expected I called and called to make the payment, and finally someone answered and said everyone was busy and they couldn't help me at that time then asked if I would call back. I had asked prior to paying off the debt if I could get copies of the paid off debt from the creditors mailed to me from FCM and I was told I had to call each company and request that information myself.
