In November of 2017 I received an unknown phone call and on a whim I decided to answer it. It was a representative asking why I hadn't completed my application with Commonbond. I explained that I didn't know what the next steps were or how to finish the application. The representative clearly explained my new monthly payment, my new fixed interest rate, where I could find information from my previous lender, and other documents Commonbond needed in order to refinance. I sent in all my paperwork to Commonbond and I waited for the loans to transfer. With the holidays approaching in December I wasn't looking forward to my nearly $1,200 payment and 10% interest rate with my previous lender. In the middle of the month I received a letter in the mail from my previous lender that my entire account had been paid in full. I didn't have a December payment and it was in that moment that I felt a few tears run down my cheek. My loans had transferred. I'm so thankful I answered that phone call, because now I have a manageable monthly payment I can afford and I have Commonbond to thank for that.

I had no issues with CommonBond. I was able to refinance a large student debt without issues.

The one question I have, and haven't been able to resolve, revolves around my rate. I was told and saw numbers every step of the way during application that after locking in auto payment I would be paying $1,301/month. I now am paying $1,326 per month. $15 per month isn't a huge deal, but I would love an answer as to how this happened. Thanks.

I am so thankful that I refinanced with CommonBond. Not only did it help me come up with a better plan for my student loan repayments, but the company is one I will proudly stand behind for all the work they do for nonprofits and their clients. Great company with a great mission.
