Good but could be better!
My experience with you was fine. My only disappointment was that, despite the fact that I have never failed to pay an invoice in full and on time, and further, despite the fact that I have a long history of substantial employment, I did not receive the low rate advertised in your materials. Your offered rate was nevertheless sufficient and I signed the note. I did recommend you to a friend who also has a strong credit history and substantial employment. After receiving a higher than expected, but nevertheless acceptable rate quote, he spent considerable time submitting paperwork to your office. However, he was disappointed to find that after you approved his loan and gave him the paperwork to sign, the rate went up over .44%. He complained to customer service and was told that the quote was made under the assumption that he had been with his employer for 2 or more years. He declined. I was disappointed and embarrassed by this episode. Your quote to my friend should have disclosed your assumptions. Further, you should have informed him of the rate change directly, rather than merely placing it in the note materials. Finally, given that you are in the business of financing student debt, it is reasonable for your customers to assume that you can tolerate the risk associated with brief-term at current employment. It is almost by definition the case that most of your customers will present with such employment history. I hope that you will correct this. When I recommend you I am putting my reputation on the line. Everything you do must be clear and above board.
