Long before I wrote this book I was an avid reader of Arcadia's books, many of your titles sit on my book shelves at home. That said, I was also greatly impressed with your Acquisition Editor Erin Vosgien, who not only gave me Arcadia's tour of publishing, what would be required of me, and what to expect from Arcadia. But she also responded promptly to all my rookie type questions, either by email or phone. Then the hammer fell and I was handed off to Stacia Bannerman, Senior Title Manager. That's when I questioned myself, did I make a mistake with Arcadia? Ms. Bannerman was the total opposite of Ms. Vosgien, she only answered one email and that was to chastise me. She was aloof on the (our only) initial phone call. Ignored my repeated emails and phone call. I actually when three months without any communication from Arcadia, then I got an email from Mr. Jim Kempert, and we spoke on the phone. Mr. Kempert was informative and professional. I also spoke with Jonny Foster, Leigh Scott, and Ashley Randolph all of whom Arcadia should be proud to have on the publishing team, as they are all knowledgeable and professional.
As I stated, many of your books are on my shelves, as well as those of my friends and family members. Your publishing company is deserving of a Five Star rating and would be, except for the negative attitude and manner of action of just one. Because of your other professionals I mentioned, I do feel Arcadia Publishing is producing a commendable service for local history in the pictorial and written form that can keep past events alive for generations to come.
Thank You.
