Around Southwick

A wonderful collection of images to share with current residents and people who lived in Southwick in the past. It is so important to preserve these insights for future generations.

Old Norwich rediscovered

Dale Plummer has done a fine job of condensing 300-plus years of Norwich history. His sub-sets bring focus to the myriad aspects of an old New England city.

Helpful

Two ancestors wrote fascinating letters about their lives as Civil War soldiers from Michigan. This book will help me construct a more interesting family story about their sacrifices.

Everyday

I used to work in San Dimas, now La Verne so I'm always passing through there so it was nice to read about all the places I'd pass by daily. To see the old train depot pictures with noting around was interesting. But there were three things that I had no idea that really caught me by surprise that were fun to learn. First how Puddingstone got it's name, that the Walker house had a restaurant in the 70's (which today's eats are delicious), and that the Martin house was moved. I love these books and the time people put into them for us to pick up and learn a bit of history.
