Networking was useful, but Personal Information was given to vendors
I appreciated the short talks and various networking sessions. I think it would have been more beneficial to break-up the morning a bit more in moving rooms or starting tracks earlier.
I was most disappointed leading up to the conference. I received several phone calls from vendors to me work cell phone. The conference took place the week after Thanksgiving and getting that many phone calls in the middle of my day was disruptive. It would have been one thing if I had authorized my number to go to individual vendors, but I did not. If there was a release of some sort, it was not clear and felt underhanded.
Additionally, the experience at the hotel was up and down. On Wednesday night my team went to dinner on the veranda and due to an allergy, one of our team members was unable to eat anything on the menu even though she had eaten there the night before. The reason given was that the food was outsourced. Very odd experience.
Other than that, the speakers were to the point, focused on the how and not the numbers, which was appreciated. At times felt sales pitchy, but that happens.
