The Professionals Go-To Supplier

Most artist material companies are designed to please the middle 80% of the market. They create and engineer products that operate in a consistent way for most everyone making art. Natural Pigments is not that. They create the best of the best for the serious artist. Their products are backed by sound science, in depth research, historical traditions, and a group of people who genuinely love serving their artists. Often you’ll find their products are even financially competitive with their lesser counterparts in the market. If you want to make art using the best products money can buy, you’ll never look back after buying from Natural Pigments. The quality of these products will enable you to make work in ways you never knew were possible, because it wasn’t possible with the materials you were previously buying.

Painting Best Practices

I’ve learned a lot from the 6 lessons. Some lessons are harder than the other; but I feel that overall I have gained much better knowledge and very useful information. Thank you so much.

My favorite medium!

I had used Maroger for years, always a bit uncomfortable with smell and dangerous ingredients. I became aware of Oleogel while watching a Michael Kline video and decided to give it a try. It is all that I’ve used since. It is every bit as effective as Maroger, yet oder free an safe!

Profoundly Grateful for Natural Pigments!

I am beyond pleased with your products; my art soul is grateful to the core that someone still cares enough to make these highest quality tools available. Your Lead White #2 is a magical substance! And the Walnut Oil based Gel and Oleogel are the answer to a prayer. I also truly appreciate your efforts to educate artists and conservators. Keep up the great work!

Great tubed oils

Best tubed paints in town. Why isn’t 50ml the default size everywhere!? As far as I’m concerned a little oil separation is proof of quality. Also tried the Velazquez medium in this order which gives some really nice mass and tack to softer paints, although it’s perhaps a little too dry feeling to help lengthen some of those super buttery brands. Next time I’ll just buy the colors from rublev in the first place!
