Lead white number 1

This paint is the best quality for the value of all the white paints. Lead white helps to stabilize the paint layers and significantly improves the stability of the paint film. This particular lead white has the perfect consistency, is easy to mix, easy to paint thickly or thinly, easy to paint with brush or painting knife, and a pleasure to work with. I make sure I keep this in stock at all times and love working with this paint. Natural pigments puts such emphasis on quality pigments and materials as well as transparency in labeling. I am confident this is pure pw1 and linseed oil.

Oleogel

This is the is the first time using Oleogel. I am getting back to a seascape oil painting that has dried over the holidays. I am mixing the oleo gel with my ocean colors and the application is superb and smooth going. Just a little bit improves the flow and consistency without creating too much transparency...perfect for layering colors to create more depth. Love that it's solvent free; it doesn't form a skin after being on my palette either...love that its right on my palette instead of in a separate jar. So glad I've tried it!

Excellent resource for the painter

I wanted to see what lead white looked like and how it handled, mostly for research purposes. I know to be hyper-careful with it and not contaminate myself or the environment. Fortunately, Natural Pigments had a small tube available at a fair price. It was well and conscientiously packaged and arrived promptly.

Incomparable quality

Finding out about this paint has been so beneficial to me. They are exceptional, so much better then any of the oils I’ve used in the past!
