Tyrconnell 10 1 litre gift box
First of all, I would like to praise everyone at "Luxurious Drinks" for the first-rate service! They took great care of choosing a bottle and cardboard tube that were in top notch condition; also, the packaging was done meticulously and everything arrived here in absolute A1 condition. So, I can warmly recommend "Luxurious Drinks".
Still, I have a criticism to make, and it is a rather blistering one. This does not go out to "Luxurious Drinks" in any way, but to those at the whisk(e)y distilleries in Scotland and Ireland who are responsible for the conception of the whisk(e)y cardboard tubes and bottle labels: as I have noticed - and the Tyrconnell I bought is no exception - the texts written on the tubes and labels of the bottles are, almost invariably - full of linguistic mistakes. In case of whiskies that one simply drinks, this might not be so unpleasant. However, every whisky aficionado has a collection of whiskies he / she keeps on a permanent basis. And with these, one expects perfect quality - not only concerning the whisk(e)y but also the correctness of the language used on the tubes and boxes.
It is very sad that a considerable number of native speakers of English apparently do not master their own language (GlenDronach, Glengoyne, Bowmore, Dun Bheagan, Glenfiddich, Ardbeg, Tyrconnell, Tomintoul to name only a few) - and it remains a permanent nuisance to the collector being furnished with products that are deficient in that respect.
Kind regards,
Martin Quarck
