I think the new unit is better because it had more range,etc. but it suffers from the same problem as the old unit - it is too easy to set off. Just rolling over in bec has triggered it a couple of times. Nothing like being awakened in the middle of the night to await the inquiry from the regional staff. So, I really don’t wear it except when going away from the house The solution seems to me to be easy - just recess the button a little so it is surrounded by a lip. Still easy to access but not so easy to accidentally set off. The older model was easier to place a plastic lid over that easily flicks on Not this new one. So like a self defense weapon, better to have an imperfect one with you when needed rather than the perfect one left at home. I leave my Life Alert off It is not only not perfect; it is annoying

The people in the service is great. I feel is a very good value. However we are getting good signal with the Verizon modem.

As we have made comment on before, the pendant device is poorly designed & it's activation button is easily accidentally tripped. I just had another accidental tripping of device last week, now totaling ten times the Fire Department has had to come here for nothing. My General Contractor son suggests this pendant device have it's button significantly imbedded BELOW the surface of the pendant body, not flush, which is easily bumped/activated.

Called today to find out why our bill went up $2. Was never notified it was going to happen or why. Was told it was due to a cost in equipment. Since we’ve had the same equipment for years they had been nothing that would justify an increase in cost as nothing has been changed. IF you started charging new customers an increased charge then that would make sense but not to long time customers. Not notifying customers was a bad move.
