I was just starting to think of upgrading to a larger roaster after a friend asked me to roast more beans than I could really manage without getting a huge headache and giving up a half day of my life. I stumbled across a reference to this extension tube as making an older model (SR500) better than that roaster's expensive Behmor. Well, as that was what I was planning to get, I decided to try this tube. I found Home Roasting Supplies to have the best price and best shipping, so I ordered it. Used it for the first time 3 days ago, and I was able to nearly double the amount of beans I could roast! I tried two batch sizes, 160 g and 150 g, and found that the 150 grams roasted a bit more evenly. Leaving the lid off the chaff catcher for a minute or two really let those beans bounce around. I am so happy I bought this instead of a new roaster! It's amazing, and the coffee tastes fantastic! It was extremely well packaged and arrived ahead of schedule. I will definitely shop at HRS in the future! So glad I discovered the website!
