Bought this SR800 to replace my SR500. On the first run, the fan was set too low and the heat too high so I had to adjust it but I LOVE being able to adjust the settings during a roast! I also love being able to roast a bigger batch! The SR800 is made of high quality materials and is definitely a step up from the 500!

After much online review, I purchased the SR540 and it's been an excellent roaster thus far. The roster is able to handle darker roasts with higher temperature requirements, which prefer. Depending on your coffee consumption, you'll need to roast every few days with the smaller SR540 size, but roasting is a relaxing and scientifically stimulating endeavor, so no issues there.
