original fan came with a bent shaft but the next was fine. Could be packaged more protectively. Manuel instructions could be clearer, eg how to remove the bottom louver to gain better access and the the locking tab should be pulled out all the way and go over the thermodisc and reinserted into the track and slid to side to lock in place. Don't really need the variable speed control, just inserting the wire tabs to the thermodisc and the fan works fine. Don't tell you that in the instructions. Also the fan should be inserted to the left of the gas valve as that gives you the most room to turn it into place in the back. If you insert to the right of the gas valve, not enough room to turn it. Thanks for reaching out.
