We purchased 2 pieces of luggage - the large Earth Tones and the Airlite 21" just prior to leaving for vacation abroad. Upon receiving the Airlite, we were unable to program the lock, noticing that the lock on the 2 pieces was different. Since we were leaving on vacation within hours of receiving the luggage, we were unable to return it within their 14 day window, and Heys would not consider it for return as it was outside the return period. Calls and emails with customer service were frustrating, implying this was due to user error, and directing us to a YouTube video, which turns out, is for a different TSA lock altogether. The communication with Heys was inconsistent, initially acknowledging the locks were different, then in emails saying they were the same. After sending us a replacement lock without success, the piece had to be sent for inspection, all to return it to us with a video demonstrating the instructions - which is not the same video posted on the web. We were very intentional in selecting Heys to purchase our luggage, since they were a local company promoting excellent warranty and customer service; to say this was a frustrating and disappointing customer service experience is an understatement!
