Great shoe but there was a mark on the side that can’t come off. Quality check could’ve saved this going out

Overall experience with the brand was high-quality. Shoe quality and packaging was very nice. There's an excellent company return policy, but the big issue is sizing matching. Frustrating to find out after waiting for overseas shipping that all of their shoes run horribly small and no stock in "my" size for an exchange. I'm not a cobbler to understand better, but if they all run small, why not simply make the entire line larger to actually match the number size it's supposed to be and avoid confusion? A 42 shouldn't fit like a US8-8.5

Hi, The D +D Brand has some great marketing right now, the loafers in particular look fabulous. I ordered a pair of penny loafers in the black Friday sale, however made an error in not fully understanding the sizing differences to a standard size. I normally wear a UK size 9 equivalent from Crockett and Jones. So fairly standard. Unfortunately I ordered a 9 from D + D and could barely put my foot in the shoe. As a result and after a lengthy process I managed to exchange the loafers for a size 10. The process was very slow and it was frustrating that I had to pay to end the loafers back. For may other suppliers this would not be required and the return shipping complimentary. D+D should consider this offering. The size 10 loafers that I am now wearing look great. It's worth highlighting that even a UK10 is a snug fit. So there is clearly a considerable variance to standard UK sizing. I have never worn a size UK10 in my life and equate this to a US 10. D + D should make it clear that 1 size larger should be ordered for online purchases.
