Smooth writing with a great nib! Very Nice feel and very little effort needed to write. Only received 1 ink cartridge and No manual draw cartridges?? I think you should have a manual-draw cartridge included with all purchases.

Shipping to the U. S. was expensive. I was reluctant to order as the discount did not take into account how expensive the shipping was.

This is now the third time that I've written a sentence like this. First, the email form didn't work. Second, when I hit "submit" on the email form, it took me to this page. Trying a third time. Title: Not a bad pen, but not great either I was immediately attracted to the Yamanaka Red Fuji fountain pen when I spotted it on Instagram, and a 10% discount coupon de-risked the purchase. I was impressed that it arrived very quickly all the way from Japan. However, upon opening the box, beautiful though the pen was I was surprised to see that it was a cartridge fountain pen rather than a pump. Moreover, when I installed the cartridge it both leaked and didn't flow very well. I took it to my local pen shop, where I got it converted to a pump. It no longer leaks, but the ink still does not flow well. It's a beautiful but not functional pen. Wonder if Try #3 will work. . .
