These items are a great idea but unfortunately, the beaded sand bracelets do not withstand normal wear. The one we purchased has now broken for the third time, and while the repair guarantee has been honored each time, it is very inconvenient and expensive to keep returning the bracelet only to have it break again and again and again, and nearly always at a very inconvenient time and location. After the most recent break, we took the pieces to a local jeweler for their assessment, and in their opinion, the breakage is occurring at the point where the elastic is attached to the sand container and the elastic isn't strong enough to withstand the weight of the sand locket pulling against it when it is taken on and off. We strongly recommend that if you want a sand item, you choose a necklace or ornament rather than the beaded bracelet with the elastic.

My wife and I have been long time customers of Dune Jewelry. We are residents of Sanibel Island and have enjoyed the beautiful beach themed jewelry for years. Lately the company seems to have grown too fast. Service is lack luster, products are back-ordered and overall disappointing. We are still waiting on jewelry that was ordered weeks before Christmas.

I purchased a necklace in the Bahamas, just about a week later, the necklace was ruined by “chemical reaction”. I was sent another one and it did the same exact thing. They issued a credit, but I couldn’t even get anything because all the prices were different. What a waste of money.
