Great product, inadequate installation support...
Now that the unit is fully installed, I couldn't be more pleased. It is everything that I had hoped it would be. The installation, however, was a different matter. The unit does not ship with information sufficient to install it. The manufacturer evidently assumes that it will be professionally installed by someone who has been trained to do it. Professional installation is quite unnecessary. Here is what you need to know.
When you initially plug it in, the unit itself establishes its own local, limited Wifi network. You need to disconnect from your home network and connect to this new IntesisHome network. Then go to "ihconfig.com" and configure the Wifi connection and credentials for the unit to connect to your home network. The unit then connects to your home network and you can add it to your IntesisHome account. Unprompted, the unit then goes into a autoinstallation process that includes autoidentification of your AC unit's model type. In my case, it did not correctly identify my Fujitsu AC model and some features did not work. At that point, however, I was able to control the unit through my IntesisHome account (accessed via the open Internet or smart phone) and change the model specification manually to what's indicated in my Fujitsu manual. So far as I know, I now have fully functionality.
You will find some of this information on IntesisHome's web site. Access the "Manual" page link at the bottom of IntesisHome's home page and select your AC manufacturer from the list available on that page.
