Not the best experience, but the bed is good
My father has parkinsons and dementia and unfortunately needs a bed that moves up and down to easily accommodate getting my father in and out of bed using a Hoyer Lift. Todd helped us throughout the process and was very helpful and responsive. He followed up with us multiple times over the phone which was very helpful. However, there were a couple issues we experienced along the way, some SlumberSource's fault and others not their fault. For one, they delivered the bed through TForce. One reason we chose to go through SlumberSource was due to their quick delivery. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, TForce was delayed by a WEEK, which was really a problem since my father had just returned from rehab and we really needed the bed. The second was that they failed to mention that the Mattress gets delivered separately through Fedex, which seems like a logistical nightmare. Fortunately we have a queen size mattress so it wasn't a problem that the mattress was even more delayed, but what happens when the bed come that's a different size from the old bed and the mattress is delayed? You sleep on the bed with no mattress? The logistics need a lot of work on their end. We finally got the bed, and buyer beware, the massage function makes a LOT of noise. The craftsmanship is pretty poor where the side rails don't fit perfectly into the bed so they rattle uncontrollably. We also decided to keep our mattress since it fit perfectly, and Todd told us the mattress is custom made so we can't return it, which seems kinda ridiculous since the mattresses are chosen from a drop down. Lastly, we paid for white glove delivery and confirmed they will disassemble the old bed and move it. Tod assured me multiple times that they disassemble and I sent him pictures and even the link to the manufacture for the old bed. He said it's not a problem and they do that all the time. It took the two individuals an hour to disassemble and he had the audacity to say we pretty much owe them because they would normally not take that long to do it and would normally refuse. ??? It's not my fault it took an hour and disassembly is disassembly, don't say you do disassembly if there are caveats along with it. That's absurd to basically change the blame. Also - what instead you would just put the new bed on top of the old one? What would you have done in that instance?
