We have found that the benefits of a weighted blanket, sound sleep, feeling of comfort, less waking up and feeling more refreshed is true. However, Mela's blanket does fall short in a couple of areas, which is disappointing, especially considering the price! The first issue is that it is SMALL. We bought the one for a double bed and when we laid it out on the bed it was considerably smaller than the bed. This means that when two of you are under it, unless you are sleeping very close together, you will struggle to pull it completely around you so it touches the bed behind you. If you do move apart during your sleep, the weight of the blanket will pull itself into the gap between the two of you, and because it is heavy, it is often too much of a faff to pull it back over you in the middle of the night. If you had bought a duvet or other sheet and it was this small, you would be returning it to the shop for an alternative. The second issue is how the weighted blanket is secured into the cover. This is done by tying two ribbon like strips together, through a hoop stitched to the weighted blanket. The problem is that you either have to tie a knot that won’t come undone and struggle with unknotting it, when you need to wash the cover or risk it coming undone and moving around in the cover, when it does. There should have been a much better method for securing it in place. Apart from that the quality seems good and we haven’t noticed any other issues, but if you do decide to buy it, get bigger than you need. Overall, check out other manufacturers first for size and securing of the blanket to the cover

Good service and speedy delivery.

Shipping took a very long time. The blanket is well made and very good quality but sadly not for me. I love the pillow but the blanket left me feeling claustrophobic and pinned down. I gave it to my neighbour and she loves it.
