BUYER BEWARE of FRONTERA
Well, since you asked me to write a review of my experience with Frontera, I will. I ordered replacement cushions for a Kingsley-Bate outdoor sofa on Frontera.com in January 2022 and was told they would most likely arrive by April, in "plenty of time for the summer season" according to Maggie, the salesperson. Frontera charged my credit card $3600 in January. Just 6 weeks later I received an email saying the cushions would be delayed by about 4 weeks-6 weeks. Didn't anyone check the availability of the product before they charged my card? Those 6 weeks were crucial to me because I could've cancelled the order and still had time to order from somewhere else. Then in May I received another email saying the cushions would be delayed (again) until the end of June. This meant that I would have to purchase a temporary furniture set because the house was rented for June and I had to provide seating. I asked Frontera if they would work with me on a discounted set, since they should have known about the delay from the beginning. Why are they taking orders if they don't know if they can fulfill them??? They were not willing to offer a discount of any kind for the replacement cushions or the temporary set I had to buy. I asked if they could, at least, pay for expedited shipping once the cushions were ready to be shipped. NOPE! They wouldn't do anything. When you place an order with this company you are on your own. Even though though they take on the roll of intermediary between manufacturer and consumer (and get paid), they assume absolutely none of the financial responsibility of order fulfillment. Frontera: Stop taking orders and charging consumers unless you know for sure the order can be fulfilled on time. Enough of the Covid supply chain excuses - you are taking advantage of consumers for your own financial gain.
