Good service with some frustrations

The overall proposition is attractive and execution was pretty good, but my experience was not seamless. The responsibility for this lies partly with me, but BaggageHub requires its clients to do a lot of the data input and form filling themselves. While that creates the efficiencies which lower the price it also assumes knowledge on the part of the clients which may be lacking. While I understand that BaggageHub wants to keep some distance between customers and suppliers (to prevent the former attempting to arbitrage Baggage Hub out ) it resulted in me being reliant on BaggageHub to communicate with DHL. If BaggageHub staff were available 24/7 this might be OK but they are not. I was a bit unlucky because the customer service person I was assigned was in the process of resigning. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome, but it was tough going at times.

Conflicted Opinion

Throughout the last several weeks, perhaps two months or so, the service received from a specific customer care worker (Kimberely) was outstanding, and I was kept updated throughout every stage of the shipment. However, this was not always the case as I had to usher and pressure the company into keeping me updated many times. I do believe it was just an unfortunate situation, with Patsy leaving the company, and the shipment being lost in between Canada and the UK, but overall, I wish that there was more communication between the carriers (FedEx in my case) and the company. Seems like there is not too much communication with third parties, and a lot of the paperwork and logistics are left for the customer to complete without much help. Customer care side was brilliant, but overall was a tad stressful to have lost my items for so long.

shipment arrived late but in good condition. Direct communication was ok but automatic tracking updates were confusing.

Mixed feelings

We send 13 boxes and suitcases from London to Madrid, The customer service was good and the web interface was easy to use. Unfortunately some of the suitcases were broken. I contacted Bagage Hub but did not get any insurance money back.
