Good value, poor communication

I can honestly say that BaggageHub provides great value for money, and all my suitcases made it over in perfect state. However, the moving company missed both the pick-up in Australia and the drop-off in Belgium (I was waiting at home all day!) and I had to personally chase BaggageHub to get them reorganised. A bit more communication would be good, but overall a positive experience.

Could be better

I feel the amount paid to 'Angels' is far too low. The percentage given for storage should be 40% not 25% or so. I also feel the app is not user friendly for Angels & could be improved. For instance, there seems to be no simple way to see the total owed to me, just a monthly amount. There is also no direct (easy) access to my account.

The service was good. However

The service was good. However in my case they missed one of my bags and I chased a lot to get it back. Otherwise it is good

Average service

I had booked the pick up day almost two months in advance. The initial driver never showed up and after too many phone calls another arrived, very late on that day. For the brunch in Italy,I had 3 italian colleagues to talk with the company and explain that I work and I need a certain day and time so I can get time of work. For the money I paid, I was expecting more.

Fairly good

The first time I was in touch with the customer service, it was brilliant. Although not quoting the best price (far from), I was content (got persuaded in a way so I felt content - well done! I have worked as a cold caller...) I was told I got a fixed price based on my measurements and weight of the boxes. I received a quote not matching what I thought we agreed on (appr. £45 more) but that was solved in an instant by customer service when I called in. I called in once more just to update that my boxes were smaller indeed and would be lighter than I originally thought. I was then told the price wasn't fixed but my discount would be taken into account when the new price was calculated at the terminal! I started to get nervous... Once my boxes were collected (fast and efficient), I received the quote, appr. £15 cheaper than my original quote (roughly 120 kg lighter and roughly 10*10*5 (?) cm smaller boxes) I would have expected more discount than that... I had been told the boxes would be delivered as soon as the invoice was payed so I payed it the same day it came and started to wait. And wait. and wait. After a few weeks I called and asked where my boxes were. Again, a very professional person looked into it and my boxes were delivered about a week/a week and a half later. It had then taken more than a month's delivery time in total. When packing it up, there were quite a few battered boxes. I know that it was my responsibility to pack it well (clearly saying this in the agreement) but I'm used to pack and do it good. There were a lot of things damaged (ornaments etc). Just wondering what happened to the boxes in the time they were transported... All in all, great customer service, could negotiate with the price but was far from the best priced and the handling of the boxes were good - when I was present. I do wonder though if I could got a better price, faster delivery and more stuff that weren't broken if I had had another company...
