so much trouble with shipping

Had a horrible time with my shipping, from the start, a pushy and rude driver did the pickup, for starts. Had sent all the required documents, but after two weeks, i was getting concerned about not seeing my shipment. Tracking showed it had changed hands several times, and was held somewhere in the UK. Contacted shipper, and was told there was incomplete paperwork, never a notice from them as to a problem, and only after i contacted them was there an urgency, and a threat of additional charges for the storage of my belongings. After sending the appropriate documents several times ( I think at least 3 times ), was told it was on the way. A month in, one box out of 17 showed up, days before the delivery date. Contacted shipper again, and was assured the rest would be delivered on the delivery date. I was staying an hour from my delivery address, and wanted to be there to receive my delivery. My friends elderly mother recieved the first box, totally unacceptable. a day before the delivery date, the rest of the boxes arrived, and i was not there to recieve them, again. I had to cancel my appointments for the day, travel to my friends place, to find that the delivery was made and signed for, without inspection. most of the shipment was crushed, torn open, large tears in the boxes, etc. one box was ripped completely open, and articles falling out the side. ( i have pictures, if you are interested) Some things were broken, several pieces had damage, ( carved wooden art work ). So all in all, i would say my experience was not a good one. what was to be a 7 to10 day delivery, took over a month, and delivered in very poor condition. I had packed very carefully, using double walled heavy duty shipping boxes, and lots of bubble wrap, Styrofoam packing peanuts, extra cardboard panels on the floor, walls, and under lid to protect my items, and thank God I did, or there surely would have been much more damage.

Customer service good but miscalculated volume

We moved from Germany back to Switzerland. Customer service was good in terms of email and telephone remote service. During quotation phase the moving company usually sends a consultant to estimate volume, boxes required but this was just done based on info requested on the phone. My wife stressed that someone comes to estimate but was assured that they knew what volumes were for a typical house. We had lots of stuff that didn’t fit into the trucks that were sent making it very stressful and time consuming to organize an additional truck last minute. Also the additional costs that we had to pay. The moving team that packed and moved our content were friendly and hard working. Baggage arrived safely in Brunei. They were also good with handling the customs paper work and that went smoothly.

Smooth procedure but very unclear pricing

No complaints about customer service and ease of the procedure itself. I sent and received my baggage quickly and smoothly from mainland UK to Australia. My only gripe is what I consider to be a complete lack of transparency re cost. Insurance is very expensive, but aside from that I ended up paying almost the same for half the amount of baggage that I’d originally received a quote for, thinking I’d be saving money. The pricing only becomes transparent after you’ve committed and after some assertive querying. Customer service was much less bouncy after I expressed dissatisfaction with this and the lack of transparency in the T&Cs before you commit. If you can, nail them down on costs before you commit then you’ll be able to make an informed decision.

Relocation to Ireland

Overall, I was happy with the service. Items that need improving are a) ensuring the information on your website regarding a shipment is kept up to date. In our case, the shipment was delivered even though the website said that the shipment was being processed. The information regarding TNT documentation and the need to print these labels etc were provided the evening before the shipment arrived. Luckily, I could prepare these at work with the help of my colleague as she had particular rights allowing her to print colour labels.

When my stuff was picked

When my stuff was picked up in uk the man from you was excellent, very handful even with certain age,but when my parcels were delivered to me in France ,the man(Romaine)was really ,really unpleasant, rude, expecting me to unload the van,complaining all the time,even to help me i did have to ask him ..he trays to syart a argument with me saying that unloading the parcels wasnt his job.. Anyway ,hope you make sure next time you not provide the same delivery standards. Regards Carla
