Beautiful but almost incredibly awesome!

Our new kitchen hood is beautiful high quality and very well made. However when it was shipped it was wrapped in plastic that caused the brass strips to tarnish and discolor in areas. I asked what could be done and a standard list of cleaning and polishing was sent to me. I was also told this sometimes happens during shipping. A new way to wrap it should be done so this can’t happen. I was concerned with doing anything to the brass, because it would void the warranty, so I decided to do nothing. This is why I gave it four stars and not five.

We luv the hood. But

We luv the hood. But our kitchen cabinets and backsplash aren’t finished yet. When they are, this will look spectacular!

Sink

When we inspected the sink we thought that the towel bar would attach later, but when we installed the sink we noticed that the towel bar was broken off with no way to install it

Great Quality Hood - Price Gauged On The Fan

There is nothing to say bad about the quality of the hoof itself; its perfect. Furthermore, the customer service in sending samples and the process of construction approval went well. The website is well constructed to really dial in the hood materials and options. The one poor part of the experience was receiving the duct components and finding out how overcharged I was for the components. I found that the remote fan blower that I was charged $1600 for, is actually a $500 fan. It also goes on with a $25 damper that I was charged $150 for and a $125 silencer they charged $400 for. When CopperSmith is selling a hood for $8500, why the need to gouge customers on the duct work. . . ? If not for the fan blower price, this would have been a five-star experience. The takeaway is, utilize CopperSmith for the hood only. I will refer CopperSmith, but warn others about the duct component pricing.
