I bought a rug online
I bought a rug online at Safavieh. it's advertised/communicated on the website that when you make your first purchase, you get a10% discount by creating an account. So I created an account and I got an email confirmation acknowledging the account and also stating that a 10% discount is eligible for my 1st purchase.
When I completed my purchase, the discount was not applied. I sent an email to Customer Service asking why the discount was not applied and to process the discount. The Customer Service response was they could not apply the discount due to tariffs. I then replied that it was explicitly stated that my purchase was eligible for the 10% discount and that they should honor what they advertise.
Otherwise it is deceptive. The 2nd response from Customer Service was the same that due to tariffs, they could not apply the discount. Safavieh should not communicate a false statement/advertisement or they should update their website.
