An electrician is highly recommended for installation, as the fitting in the panel box was tricky. Instructions seemed good.

I purchased Sense several years ago and used it to optimize energy use. It has been extremely accurate when compare with my electric companies billing. When I moved to a new, all electric, home I had to upgrade the device for 400amp service which was made extremely easy by adding a second set of current clamps to my original Sense. Sense has allowed me to understand the large and small power drains around my house and optimize energy consumption in summer and winter. It is a great conservation tool for everyone and it is a must for anyone with a time-of-use rate plan to avoid surprise consumption. I installed sense on my own but if you are uncomfortable around an electrical panel it should be a relatively quick install for an electrician and should be completed in less than an hour on most homes.

Mice ate the wires on both sets of sensors. New ones sent promptly and work fine.
