Does a good job of tracking overall energy use and generation. Not very good at identifying specific appliances in the home.

Great tool and extremely helpful to learn about your electrical usage. However it has its faults. Many of the advertised features are not up to the hype such as device detection. Power quality graphs and fault detection lags by multiple days. No phone support, online support system can be hit or miss depending on who the case is assigned to. Help from other users is often much better than from the company itself. Making it feel more like a croudsourced never ending beta product than something ready for market. With that said Sense is doing something no one else comes close to.

Pro: great having the app on the phone for emergency or every day monitoring Con: Naming devices on an iPhone is not intuitive at all ( almost impossible).

Algorithms are not perfect, but it gives a good “sense” of electrical devices and usage.

Very good view of real time use with high sensitivity. We should be able to manually add devices by going into a learning mode then cycling the power for the device.
