need a way to manually define device as I seem to have a lot of "other" devices .. and have found some not properly defined.

Great device to monitor power consumption and solar production. Individual device identification is still not up to speed.

Like the product. Wish it was easier to manually add loads by starting and stopping the device.

Whole home energy monitoring and Solar is great. Accuracy is fantastic unless there is an outage (local @ the home or the occasional at Sense servers). Device detection is mixed. Plain and simple, the device can’t detect individual devices at the rate or accuracy that the marketing materials make it seem. Something may be good for a while, but then it loses the detection. Certain kinds of devices are impossible for the current ML system to track. I’m still very happy with the Sense because by just keeping an eye on the whole home electric consumption, it has taught me patters in the home and has made it possible to see problems even without the specific device detection.

I like my Sense because it automatically detects most of the energy consumers in my home. But it’s not able to detect my largest energy consumer, my HVAC system. Since it has a variable speed motor on both the fan and compressor, Sense can’t identify the unit even though I can clearly see the characteristic power curve as the HVAC system turns on. I wish Sense would improve its algorithms to be able to detect such systems.
