Problem with product, Superior customer service
SAKI Turkish Tea Maker - 110 V, Stainless Steel.
I've really gotten into Turkish tea and had been using my SAKI tea maker all day every day for the past four-ish months (Sept-Dec, 2022). Eventually, the plastic chute that shows the water level developed what look like scorch marks and dried glue seems to be seeping out through the seams. (See picture.) Does that mean the pot is now unsafe? I'm not sure. But I've stopped using it and really miss my dozen cups of tea per day...
UPDATE only two days later: I sent this picture to the customer service email address at the SAKI website and almost immediately received a reply offering to send me another teapot OR for $40 to upgrade to the TeaSmart (which is $110 on their site). I opted for the latter and will soon be happily guzzling tea again. I call this excellent customer service.
My philosophy: many (of not most) products are the same from one manufacturer to another. And any product can develop a problem. What sets companies apart from each other is one thing: *customer service.* When a company stands behind its product then you can purchase from them with confidence and know you will be treated right. Bravo, SAKI!
