As a long time Beausommet

As a long time Beausommet owner, I wanted to exchange my 10+ year old mattress for a new Beausommet. I was assured that the REM9 was it. It is not. I immediately developed intense back knots due to the mattress not being supportive enough. I’ve since been out on medication to relieve the pain. Beware. It’s hard to fathom how this happened and why Essentia will not respond to my emails to address the issue.

Be careful!

This company advertises a120 sleep trial and fail to mention within that bold print that there is a 9% return charge!!!…. In my case over $600. I was going to purchase a different style - but not after I found this out. Don’t know of any other company that does this. This is my second try- as I have the first super expensive one away due to the fact that it caved in the middle and the pictures they demanded were impossible to take. Both of my experiences dealing with Essentia were just terrible

Very disappointed. My husband hating

Very disappointed. My husband hating it from the beginning, but our bed tented in the middle after only 6 months. Had months of pain from it as we tried to work out a return. Company would not refund us and would only send us a new bed. I would never trust this bed again so it currently sits in my basement and I had to buy another bed. Ugh.

Elite pricing for subpar service and mediocre product

I purchased a floor model Essentia mattress at a show and was initially excited about owning what I thought was a premium, organic product. Unfortunately, the entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. First, the shipping process was a disaster. Despite paying $500 for in-state delivery, no one ever contacted me to schedule a date. Instead, they automatically set it up for three weeks later than promised, completely without my input. To make matters worse, Essentia never provided clear instructions or a proper tutorial on how to use the third-party platform they insisted I use—one that turned out to be faulty. When the mattress finally arrived, it became clear that half of it was defective. The middle is uncomfortably soft, while the edges are rock-hard, reminiscent of a worn-out mattress that should have been replaced years ago. Adding insult to injury, I was told my 120-day sleep trial wouldn’t apply because this was a floor model—something that was never adequately explained beforehand. Their customer support chat repeatedly touted Essentia’s zero-waste ethos, yet they were completely unwilling to offer any form of resolution or customer satisfaction. For a so-called “organic” mattress, I’ve since learned that there are several other companies offering truly organic, high-quality products at a fraction of Essentia’s price. If Essentia wants to command a premium, they need to stand behind their guarantees and treat their customers better. On a final, devastating note, I tore my MCL, LCL, and suffered a bucket tear on my meniscus while trying to remove the mattress to locate serial numbers on the frame—serial numbers that weren’t even included in any paperwork. This injury could have been avoided if Essentia had simply upheld their return policy or helped resolve the issues with this deeply unsatisfactory bed. Overall, this has been a massive disappointment from start to finish, and I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for your mattress needs.
