A decade well spent
It’s amazing to see a couple if ingenious Aussies, like Stu & Cedar revolutionising the bee industry. From the concept of low intrusion harvesting, to the “little things” tgat have been engineered into the products- like the integrated spirit levels, the fine tolerances in the joins to save bees the extra effort in wind-proofing their boxes. The only real improvement i could suggest would be maybe an extra 1mm on the roof gable edges to make aligning the roof pannels easier, but that’s more a reflection of my carpentry skills than of flow’s depth of design elements. I’m a novice bee keeper, and the apiary packages seem to be the perfect starting kits. Thankfully my bees are friendly enough that i havent needed more than the hood/ veil, but a few of my friends who want to learn about bee keeping will benefit from suiting up till they get their confidence. I will buy another kit once my hive starts to bulk up. I’ve seen a few online comments about the prices, but i’m the kind of person willing to “buy quality once” rather than buy cheaper items repeatedly due to failures, and from the wood used, the precision of the panels & engineering features in these hives, i cant imagine much being improved upon.
I’ve been a flow follower for about 8 months, and look forward to being a supporter for many years to come!
