I've been using the same Megahome MH943SBS for the past 51 months. It has held up well execpt for the Distiller Thermal Switch and Reset Button Assembly. If you are at all handy they have videos at https://www.nutriteam.com under Megahome Water Distillers that teach you to replace the parts. The heating element is protected by the Thermal Switch and Distiller Fuse Assembly. Be sure to buy the RTV 598 High Heat Silicone from them It's too hard to acquire locally. Also buy their Charcoal Filters as I bought some from Amazon and they were not the right size. This Distiller is safe to use and I recommend blowing out the cooling fins with compressed air and oiling the fan motor once a year. I keep the rezevior clean with a fine grit sanding block.

I am just making the first distilling with timer switch set for 5 hrs, the exact time of complete will be found by the repeated distilling. I want timer switch trip just before thermal trip tp prevent baking the residues hard

Delivered fine. Loved the packaging of all items- very well thought out! Its working like a charm. Had one glitch and that was plugs were not in secure enough so had a scare it wasn't working but went through all cord plugs and reset then worked great. The fact that it doesn't have an on off button is wierd, but living with it as reviews I read were glowing of the product. Will chime back in after a few months with an update!
