Go Anywhere with Confidence

I bought my Luggie Elite shortly after being diagnosed with ALS. As I have been losing my mobility very quickly, I was worried that I could no longer move about my home or venture outside. The Luggie has made the transition from walking to riding extremely easy. A friend recommended I get one because it fits neatly into the trunk of my Tesla as it does hers. My sister easily lifts it in and out of the trunk and assists me onto and off it without difficulty. I would highly recommend the Luggie for anyone who might be losing his mobility. I would be lost without it.

Luggie Elite Plus 4

Pros: love the tight radius for turns, the motor is very quiet. It's very well built. The speed is very decent. The charging time is very quick and the battery life has a long range distance. Overall, it's a solid quality scooter with some annoyances I've noted below. Con: It does NOT fold down to half the size, like a suitcase. It's got some weight to it, so it's a bit difficult to lift and push into the cargo of your car. The tiller and battery are not waterproof. It does NOT have a key so anyone can potentially drive off with it. The tiller keeps falling down. The clamp does NOT hold up the tiller well (to your desired height well). I hate that there's a hole in front of the battery. So small things or even straps from your backpack can fall through and drag. The front white wheels are stupid since it serves no purpose. It was designed for the suitcase fold luggies so that you can drag it when it's folded up, but since this model does not fold in half, it serves no function and gets in the way if you want to stretch out your legs forward. I plan to remove mine. It's very uncomfortable to stretch your legs out since you feel the white wheels under the ball of your foot.

Vibration unberable

I love my Luggie because it is somewhat lightweight. It is very easy to fold and basically all the advertisements say. My only negitive is that when riding on my street (asphalt) the scooter nearly shakes my teeth out. The vibration is so bad that I use my old one for walking my dog on the street. Any other surface is great!

Me and my Luggie

I have only had my Luggie for a little over a month. I purchased it primarily for traveling as I function pretty well with the daily challenges at home. However, I have found that my borders are expanded significantly because of the Luggie! The only liability (for me) is the narrow wheelbase. Whenever the surface I am on tilts to the left or to the right it feels as if I might tip over - and, in fact, several times the wheels on the up hill side have come off the ground!I was able to stop the potential fall by putting my foot out and and re-centering the Luggie. One other issue I have is the placement of my feet while travelling. My legs are average to shorter than average, but I need to stop every couple of blocks to stand up. I may write more at a later date, after I have done some traveling. Thanks for this marvelous device! My Luggie has greatly expanded my world. BTW - Are there any accessories designed for the Luggie"? Some sort of horn or bell would be an important safety improvement. Likewise some attention getting flashing red light on the back would be good. I was hit broadside by a boy on a bicycle. If I had a horn or bell, perhaps it could have returned his attention to the road ahead, thereby avoiding the collision. I was only minimally injured, but it could have been much more serious!
