Eargo Plus Review
Before i tried Eargo Plus, I had a 30-day trial of some Siemens Signia hearing aids that cost $6,500. After the trial period, I returned them because I felt like they were not worth the money. I continued to experience difficulty hearing in noisy places and they frequently caused my ear to itch and bothered me.
About 3 months later, I saw an ad for the Eargo Plus devices and decided to give them a try. I have been wearing my Eargos for about 6 weeks now. They took some getting used to at first, but I am very pleased with them now. The difficulties were:
1. Getting used to how they feel. They would itch, but I hardly notice them anymore.
2. Learning to change the volume levels. The Eargo representative taught me a method to do it simply and reliably.
3. Getting rid of the feedback. When I replaced the normal plastic fibers with the larger ones, they stayed in place better and the feedback was greatly reduced and is now easily tolerated.
I am pleased with the improvement in my hearing. I hear better with these devices than the much more expensive Siemens hearing aids that I tried previously. The sound is more natural and clear. I am also very pleased with how they fit up inside my ear where no one notices them. Even though I have very short hair (entirely off my ears), only one person (my oldest daughter) told me that she noticed one of them in my ear and wondered what it was.
