28+ years on a hyper extensive knee and now hiking strong!
For two decades, medical professionals ignored my crushed foot, likely because there was little that they could do. Then came a good doctor that listened! She made several attempts at prescriptions for devices to help realign my leg from its accrued damage. These solutions were bulky, awkward or cut off too much of my circulation. In desperation, I chanced on this metal knee brace option that I am told occasionally goes by the term "swedish knee brace. ". A good orthotics person recommended the inclusion of an insert inside my shoe to correct the height of my leg as I walk, as properly inflated and doing its job, the next effect as I walk is that the braced knee is slightly shorter.
All that being said, these knee braces are inexpensive and easily attainable, making them a superior product and worth trying.
I am not a medical professional! I just found this particular style of knee brace and excellent, over-the-counter option for a chronic injury!
Best wishes!
