I’ve been using Cefaly devices
I’ve been using Cefaly devices for close to ten years, so I’m very familiar with how they’re supposed to feel. Unfortunately, this newer version has been a disappointment.
While the intensity does build gradually, it doesn’t stop at a comfortable level. It ramps up to a point that feels too strong and becomes painful rather than therapeutic. I’m used to the sensation from older models, but this feels harsher and less controlled overall. Instead of being able to relax during a session, I find myself bracing for when it becomes too much.
The app is also underwhelming. It’s clunky and doesn’t add anything meaningful to the experience. For a device at this price point, you’d expect a more functional and user-friendly interface.
Given how expensive this device is, the performance doesn’t justify the cost. It feels like a downgrade from earlier versions I’ve used.
What’s most frustrating is the response from the company. When I raised these concerns, I felt dismissed rather than supported, as though the issue was being minimized instead of addressed.
Overall, this has been a letdown from a long-time user who had high expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this version.
