The tastings we did enjoy
The tastings we did enjoy were excellent, with friendly service and engaging stories about each winery’s history. That said, two of the four wineries we had planned to visit unfortunately ignored our advance booking request, even though they were listed as offering 2‑for‑1 tastings through Priority Wine Pass. We were disappointed, as we had been looking forward to those stops when building our itinerary.
Another drawback was the payment process. At some wineries, we had to pay upfront for the tasting and then request reimbursement on-site for being Priority Wine Pass members. It would be much smoother if there were an option to indicate membership at the time of scheduling, so charges are handled correctly in advance. In addition, a few wineries had changed their terms listings showed 2‑for‑1 tastings, but when visiting they only honored tastings for one person.
Despite these hiccups, the overall experience was positive. Priority Wine Pass remains a fantastic way to discover new wineries, enjoy memorable tastings, and meet passionate winemakers. With a few improvements to consistency and booking, it could be even better.
