Buying on Amazon for years... will now buy direct.
First purchase direct from Kicking Horse. Have been buying on Amazon for many years. I buy 2.2 pound bags of each Decaf and Kick Ass and make my own half-caf blend (after doctor told me to cut caffeine intake). Not a coffee snob and can't tell you why I like what I like. I use pour over as more of a morning ritual than anything else. I prefer dark roasts and landed on Kicking Horse after trying many others. Could probably switch entirely to decaf and not miss anything in the way of flavor.
Buying direct was easy. Shipped promptly and packaged well in a sturdy box (Amazon often ships these in plastic bags that invite being tossed around, risking tears). Expect some more price stability compared to Amazon, where a bag of Decaf was $12 more than on Kicking Horse's website.
Will say I'm not a fan of the new tear open bags. Of the many I've received since the switch only one or two opened easily. I just cut the tops off now like before. And these last two bags ordered direct didn't have the tabs built in to the bags to securely close the tops. Don't know if that's a new thing or if they were produced without them by mistake. Not a big deal, just odd they were missing.
